About the role..
Working as part of SpotQA's Business Development Team, this is a Specialist Software Sales role to drive the growth of SpotQA's software business in North America.
As the first new business hunter in the geography, this role will suit a hungry, creative individual who will help to drive our growth through their ideas, energy and enthusiasm.
You'll be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and closing new business by building strategic relationships with executives and key decision makers across industries to promote and sell our flagship product Virtuoso.
Primary job responsibilities
- Work with the wider Business Development team to plan the overall business development strategy across target industries in North America
- Prospect for new clients & opportunity development. In the first year, you will be responsible for generating your own leads and pipeline
- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from opportunity identification, through to the negotiation and closure of contracts
- Provide professional and technical expertise
What we need from you...
- Experience in a business development role within one of the following areas - QA/Testing (preferably) or DevOps or Infrastructure or Dev tools or complementary areas
- A background in business development with a Cloud or Enterprise Software provider, preferably selling a product
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives and senior executives
- Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
- Ability to work with global cross-functional teams - including line of business stakeholders, not solely QA - and achieve success for customers
- Balance of strategic and tactical skills
- A proven track record of achieving personal sales targets, quarter on quarter
