Position: Project Manager
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 Months contract
The ideal Sr. PM candidate has the following experience or skills:
The ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders from both business and technology
Experience managing deliverables for third party vendors
Experience with Stop Loss or Payor Financial Operations
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring delivery timelines and budget are well maintained. This role will also be responsible for acting as a facilitator and 'buffer' between any external or internal influences. Core responsibilities of the Project Manager position include (but not limited to):
Remove barriers and help the team drive to timely delivery
Create and maintain a project plan that outlines the highest business priority and value
Mitigates risk and resolve issues that may impact project scope items
Promote continuous improvement with efficient and effective delivery
Draft and present status reports to various levels of leadership
Proactively manages changes in scope and requirements and follows set change management processes
Ensure timely completion of tasks
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
General Management - 10%
Assist with strategic and tactical planning, organizing and execution
Assist with financial forecasting
Project Management - 70%
Manage multiple large related projects
Demonstrate analytical ability in business planning and financial management/acumen
Assist in technology solutions delivery for business-related inefficiencies and issues
Complete related assessments in the development of business solutions
Lead, develop and tightly manage projects in a complex environment with multiple business customers and vendors
Communicate effectively with all levels of management
Responsible for end-to-end project management
Seek ways to continuously improve quality, effectives and efficiency
Adapt to various demands or requests for project management or subject matter expertise time
Ability to organize and analyze data and report to executive level management.
Communicate the status and key metrics for all project/issues/risks
Change Management - 10%
Assist in and recommend business process re-design opportunities for core business processes
Analyze strategic trends and interpret impact on business applications
Application Management - 10%
Maintain knowledge of system environments and business processes
Maintain an understanding of related technologies and solutions
Maintain Industry knowledge - people, process, and technology
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Years of experience required: 5+ years
Preferred: Project Management Professional Certification
Specific types of experience required:
Experience in Medicare and Commercial Health Insurance
Claims Recovery & Data
Member and provider benefits
Experience in multiple environments, such as waterfall and agile methodologies
Demonstrates leadership and energy to bring teams together to deliver quality results
Builds strong relationships, willing to be flexible, provides timely responses and has strong communication skills
Experience concurrently managing multiple large projects
Supports changes, and team player.
