101edu is seeking a Chemistry Content Author
(General/Intro Chemistry Content Author; GOB Content Author) to help
create, review, and organize content for 101edu’s next-generative active
learning platform, Chem101. Our ideal candidate is a subject matter
expert with a passion for providing engaging, high-quality and effective
resources in support of teaching and learning needs of college
professors and students.
This role is a contract position that will work remotely in the US.
Responsibilities include:
- Design clear and reliable questions, solutions and feedback that target
potential student misconceptions and enhance student understanding - Review chemistry questions for content accuracy and functionality
- Able to manage content with attention to detail and minimal mistakes
- Respond to feedback, and resolve content queries prior to publication
- Conduct any necessary research regarding curriculum, teaching strategies, and standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and improve content
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry, or a related field
- Current or prior instructors with experience teaching general
chemistry, introductory chemistry, GOB (general, organic, and
biochemistry), or organic chemistry courses at the college or university
level - Strong written communication skills and comfort with technology
- Must be self-directed and able to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong technical computer skills with the ability to master new software systems is a plus
- Experience using online homework platforms in a college setting is desirable
- Experience creating digitals products in publishing is desirable
- Be based in the US and able to work remotely
